The Royal Lancaster Hotel played host to the Honda awards on the evening of Friday 25th May. Dealership directors and principals were dressed in their finest clothes enjoying each other’s company and having a well earned drink. There was plenty of chatter, especially about which dealership would receive the highly coveted top award from Honda.
The name of this award? The Honda Dealer of the Year.
Furiously competed for throughout the year by 150 Honda dealerships throughout the UK, it’s the highest accolade Honda bestows on a dealership. Many targets must be completed to achieve the prize within new and used car sales, service and repairs, warranty, parts, and the most important, customer service.
The award ceremony started with Honda dealerships accepting awards for individual targets, then to finish, the big one. “The Honda Dealer of the Year Award for 2018 is awarded to… Lancaster Honda!”
A huge round of applause erupted as the Financial Director, Helen Hayton, accepted the award from Phil Webb and Dave Hodgetts of Honda UK.
Helen beamed with pride and commented that it was an honour to receive the award, and it couldn’t have been achieved without the immense hard work of the staff who work tirelessly to ensure Lancaster Honda is at the top of its game.
Accompanying Helen, Cox Motor Group’s Managing Director, David Cox added: “This is an utterly remarkable achievement and registers a strong feeling of pride in all of us, and even more so for the staff who work at Lancaster Honda. They are achieving something very special and I thank them all for their effort and commitment.”
The awards ceremony concluded with a grand celebration aboard a yacht on the Thames with drinks flowing and fine food, with entertainment from DJ Jo Whiley and The Dream Girls.
