Cox Motor Group are proud to announce that James Brierley, Finance Specialist at Blackpool Honda was crowned Business Manager of the Year at the Honda Finance Awards night held in February. In the prestigious surroundings of Stoke Park in Buckingham, famous for the final scenes in James Bond 'Goldfinger', James collected his award in front of senior Honda Finance and Honda UK associates as well as his fellow top performing Business Managers and Sales Managers from the Honda dealer network.

The Business Manager of the Year award recognises the top performers in the areas of finance penetration, Honda Aspirations (PCP) and Honda GAP sales as well as overall finance volume. James beat off opposition from the likes of Phoenix, Avonvale and Thames Honda and is the first Business Manager from the Cox Motor Group to pick up the award, which has been running for over 7 years.

What made the performance from James even better is the fact that he has only been in the position full time for just over a year. A testimony to his ability and commitment but also to the structure and support that Cox Motor Group places on Finance and Insurance and the development of individuals within the business.

With over 60% of all new car customers now choosing to finance their vehicles through the manufacturer finance company the role of the Business Manager is crucial in ensuring the customer is explained all his funding options to help close the deal and increase profitability.

Lancaster Honda and Kendal Honda, part of the Cox Motor Group also finished in the Top 20 and it is owner David Cox's vision to have all 3 dealers represented in the Top 10 in 2012!
